Restore Limeslade Bay Garden

Donation protected
My father, Tony Gwilliam, has spent many hours tending to the small garden located at Limeslade Bay, Mumbles.

The garden and bay are a huge comfort to him as we scattered his wife’s, my Mum’s, ashes here. He has been coming here for years and doesn’t bother anyone, but instead brings joy and beautify to this wonderful bay. Many people stop and chat while he plants, waters and weeds the garden.

Through an unknown cause, the garden has been decimated and all the blossoming and flowering plants have been killed. Please see the pictures. We are investigating what has caused this devastation.

My father, Tony, is equally devastated. The garden is now a mass of dead and dying plants.

Since the Facebook post on the local group asking if anyone had any information, so many kind people of offered their thanks and support to Tony for all the effort in creating a beautiful garden for the whole community and visitors to enjoy.

These kind messages have cheered him up massively. We are now hoping to reestablish the garden by removing all the dead plants, cultivating the soil and replanting the roses, bushes and bedding flowers. We hope to restore the garden to its former glory so we can all share it once again while we enjoy our ice-creams like these lovely girls (thanks to Layla Evans for permission to use the photo).

If you would like to see this and contribute to the effort, please reach out to me. You can also help by donating to this cause. Every penny will be used to buy new plants and treatments to make this spot beautiful again.

Thank you ❤️
