She and I have been Foster Parents for approximately 35 years. We cared for troubled youth ages 13 thru 20 with much success. She loved her job and cared for them and worked to inspire them to be productive citizens. As a full time Foster Parent you sacrifice your personal financial future for the good of the youth.

<div>Jana is physically healthy in all aspects except her teeth. You would think that would be an easy problem to solve. Not so easy when she needs sedation. Medicare doesn't cover sedation for Dentistry. Dental policies cover about 10%. The first, and only time so far, we went was $3000.00 out of pocket. She had a tooth pulled and x-rays. They set up a treatment plan to address 7 cavities. The quote was $5000.00. This is one of three visits she will need.

<div>I'm embarrassed that I didn't know how poorly she had taken care of her teeth. I need to get her in soon and would have to use the last of our credit. I get emotional talking about how hard it is to care for her teeth. She won't hardly open her mouth for me or let me brush. Dentist literally told me that he didn't expect me to take care of her teeth at this stage. She eats well and needs as many teeth as possible for as long as possible to get some more years. She is a happy girl and has a good a life considering the circumstances. She walks every day, eats well, and sleeps well. I'm so proud of her. She has a good quality of life other than the teeth issue.
