Restore Hope for Winford and Debra
Donation protected
I have started a Gofund me for Winford Harris and his daughter Debra Williams . They are on a fixed income . There home was destroyed by Hurricaine Helene.
There single wide home had 2 trees fall through it and 8ft of storm surge in his home. There was nothing habitable left in home. There cookhouse where they cook everyday had 9 ft storm surge with limbs sticking through the ceiling and destroyed all appliances and food.
Due to his age and his daughter being handicapped there is not much they can do physically. They need any help they can get. They have called steinhatchee there home since 1997. They have always helped others when they were physically able and still do what they can today.
They have put in a application for FEMA and to get a temporary home brought in but have gotten the run around for over a week. They lost everything they had from clothes, furniture, food along with there medical equipment and supplies.
Winford Harris was a preacher here in steinhatchee for a few years . Debra is in the garden club and helps at the food pantry every month.
All funds donated will go directly to Winford Harris account.
My hope is to help them get back on there feet and use these donations to get clothes, medical supplies ,towels, pillows, stove, washer , dryer and what they need to live on a daily basics.
Winford has become like my own grandfather to me . He loves his community and family more than words could express.
Update
Nash and Waylon got to work and pulled out cabinets, walls and installation. The mold was very bad! We starting spraying mold cleaner to try and save some walls what we thought could be saved. Supplies we are saving for are cabinets, walls, boards, wiring, and a new door and plumbing.
And Tammy getting the job done right! She has helped out so much. She is unbelievable hard working woman and has been a angel sent. Without her and donations from each one of you we could not have done this. We are looking into pvc wall in case it gets flooded again . All that would need to be done is wipe and clean and put back up.
