Hi there—I’m Jehad, a medical student and the eldest of eight siblings. I’m reaching out from northern Gaza, where life has become unbearably hard. My father lost the only job we had, and now we’re barely getting by—we struggle every day just to find enough food and clean water.

I dreamed of becoming a doctor to help people heal, but losing our income is putting that dream at risk. Over the last two months, I’ve lost 13 kg, and my father has lost 20 kg. Our home was bombed while we were all inside—thankfully we survived, but we lost everything and are now living with relatives. ️

And recently, we learned something even more painful: my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts. She had urgent surgery to remove a large tumor and is now undergoing chemotherapy. She’s lost 25 kg, and we can’t afford the right food or medications she needs to recover. ️
