She is a recent widow who has lived in Altadena, California for over 40+ years with Dr. Earl, her husband/college sweetheart (Langston University), and their children. Her home was the first place they lived during their marriage. The Perry's were both very active in the community as faithful church members, educators, healthcare workers, musicians, sorority member ( Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc) and community activists.
