Restore a Brother's Life's Work: Data Recovery

Pictured is my amazing, talented brother who passed away in a car accident. He was a film guy always working on film projects and writing scripts. When he passed, I started using his MacBook for school. In an attempt to clear up space for my schoolwork, I put everything he worked on into a flash drive that broke in transit. It is very important to me and my family that this data is recovered because it displays his life's work. Unfortunately, the cost of repairing this drive is going to be between $500-1000. With my dad retired and my mother grieving the loss of my brother, I find it upon myself to pay for this damage.
