My family is working with an elderly lady (83) whose house was damaged during the storm (Colorado River rose from its banks into her neighborhood). She is on a fixed income of $11K/yr. That's right...$900/month.
I have set her up for FEMA assistance...but she does not have insurance to cover the demolition and repairs. We are donating time and resources to assist her in the interim. However, the house will need major repairs and FEMA has not indicated whether or not she will qualify - or how much she will receive. Therefore, I have started this gofundme account to help her get back on her feet...and her home back to a liveable quality.
