Restauro della cappella dei SS. Cosma e Damiano

Questa è una campagna di raccolta fondi per finanziare urgenti interventi di restauro all’ interno della cappella dei Santi Cosma e Damiano ubicata nel cuore della Val Prino, in Liguria.

La cappella, edificata nel XVII sec., si trova nel territorio del Comune di Dolcedo, precisamente in Località Magliani. Si tratta di un edificio ad unico volume composto da un’ aula con volta a botte e un presbiterio, decorati con affreschi e stucchi. Purtroppo l’incuria, dovuta alla mancanza di fondi per il restauro, ha provocato gravi danni alle volte, che necessitano di interventi urgenti prima che le pitture murali e gli stucchi vadano persi definitivamente. Inoltre sussiste il pericolo che possibili distacchi di intonaco rendano inagibile la cappella e di conseguenza non fruibile al pubblico.

L’ iniziativa di questa campagna è di un gruppo di restauratori di beni culturali e amanti dell’ arte che non rinunciano all’ idea di salvare delle opere considerate minori ma che sono di grandissima importanza per la comunità locale, non solo come memoria storica ma come risorsa e stimolo alla vita culturale presente e futura.

La cappella è soltanto una delle numerose piccole chiese, spesso abbandonate, che costellano la valle e questo vuole essere il primo di una serie di interventi di recupero nella Val Prino, nella convinzione che la tutela e la salvaguardia di spazi comuni e condivisi, e pertanto vivi, sia il migliore investimento per il futuro. Con il vostro aiuto potremmo cominciare un percorso che si spera venga sostenuto in futuro anche dalle Istituzioni locali e nazionali.

Beneficiario della raccolta fondi è la Parrocchia di Lecchiore-Bellissimi, che supporta il progetto e si impegna a utilizzare i fondi raccolti esclusivamente per il restauro della cappella dei SS. Cosma e Damiano.

Dies ist eine Spendenaktion zur Finanzierung dringend erforderlicher Restaurierungsarbeiten im Inneren der Kapelle der Heiligen Cosmas und Damian im Herzen des Prino-Tals in Ligurien. 

Die im 17. Jahrhundert erbaute Kapelle befindet sich auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Dolcedo, genauer gesagt in der Località Magliani. Es handelt sich um ein einschiffiges Gebäude, das aus einem mit Fresken und Stucks verzierten tonnengewölbten Saal und einem freskierten Presbyterium besteht. Leider hat die Vernachlässigung aufgrund fehlender Mittel für die Restaurierung zu schweren Schäden an den Gewölben geführt, die dringend restauriert werden müssen, bevor die Wandmalereien und Stuckdekorationen endgültig verloren gehen. Es besteht die Gefahr, dass weiter fortschreitende Schäden an den Architekturoberflächen im Innenraum der Kapelle diese nicht mehr nutzbar und damit für die Öffentlichkeit unzugänglich machen würden.

Die Initiative zu dieser Kampagne geht von einer Gruppe von Restauratoren und Kunstliebhabern aus, die den Gedanken nicht aufgeben, Werke zu retten, die als weniger wertvoll angesehen werden, aber für die lokale Gemeinschaft von großer Bedeutung sind. Und dies nicht nur als historisches Zeugnis, sondern auch als Ressource und Anregung für das gegenwärtige und zukünftige kulturelle Leben der kleinen ligurischen Dorfgemeinschaft.

Die Kapelle ist nur eine von vielen, oft verwahrlosten kleinen Kirchen im Prino-Tal und die Bemühungen um die Erhaltung der Kapelle soll der Beginn einer Reihe von weiteren Restaurierungsprojekten im Tal der ligurischen Ponente sein. Dies in der Überzeugung, dass der Schutz und die Erhaltung gemeinsam genutzter und damit lebendiger Räume die beste Investition für die Zukunft sind. Mit Ihrer Hilfe können wir eine Reise beginnen, die hoffentlich in Zukunft auch von lokalen und nationalen Institutionen unterstützt wird.

Die Spendenaktion ist eine Hilfe für die Pfarrei Lecchiore-Bellissimi, die sich verpflichtet hat, die gesammelten Mittel ausschließlich für die Restaurierung der Kapelle der Heiligen Cosmas und Damian zu verwenden.

This is a fundraising campaign to finance urgent restoration works in the Chapel of Saints Cosmas and Damian located in the heart of Val Prino, Liguria.

The chapel, built in 17th century , is located in the territory of the Dolcedo municipality, precisely in Località Magliani. It is a building consisting of a barrel-vaulted hallway and a presbytery, decorated with frescoes and stuccoes.

Unfortunately, neglect due to lack of funds for restoration has caused heavy damage to the vaults, which need urgent work before the wall paintings and stuccoes are permanently lost. Furthermore, there is a real risk of plaster detachments, that would make the Chapel unusable for the public.

This campaign is initiated by a group of cultural heritage restorers and art lovers, who do not give up the idea of saving artworks that are considered minor but are of great importance to the local community, not only as historical memory but as a resource and boost to the present and future cultural life.

The chapel is just one of several small, often abandoned, churches dotting the valley, and this is intended to be the first in a series of restoration efforts in Val Prino, in the belief that the protection and preservation of common and shared, and therefore living, spaces is the best investment for the future.

With your help we could begin a path that will hopefully be supported in the future by local and national institutions as well.

Beneficiary of the fundraiser will be the parish in Lecchiore-Bellissimi, which commits to use the funds raised exclusively for the restoration of the chapel.
