Delivering local eats to Chicago's frontline heroes! Our goal is $100,000!
Support the best restaurant community in the USA while showing love to our healthcare workers! As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we have partnered with 35 independent, family-owned restaurants to feed hundreds of doctors, nurses, and medical staff risking their lives to save ours at 15 different Chicagoland hospitals.
We met our initial goal of $25,000 after 3 short weeks. Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed, in so many different ways, to this effort.
Now it's time to go big! Our new goal is $100,000.
Why not? Fuel the Fight Philadelphia has raised $110,000. Brooklyn for Life made it to over $300,000. Chicago has thousands of restaurant owners and employees who don't look like they'll be getting back to work anytime soon... and the medical staff at our dozens of hospitals are slugging it out against Covid-19 day after day. Let's take care of our people!
We use 100% of all donations to purchase proper, nourishing meals from Chicagoland restaurants and deliver them to Chicago area hospitals. So far, $0 has been spent on 3rd party delivery services, and 100% of the funds have gone directly to the restaurant & their employees. Our GoFundMe spends $250-$1,000 on each meal delivery that feeds 20-60 hospital workers. Every dollar spent goes to purchasing meals from local restaurants to support them during the coronavirus forced closure of their dining rooms.
Doctors, nurses, and hospital staff are frequently skipping meals or eating vending machine snacks while putting their own health at risk around the clock to care for the COVID-19 patients of our community.
