Respite Fund for Greg & Brittany Vallance

As many of you may know, Greg and Brittany were expecting their first earth side baby this September after a long fertility journey to get here.

After longing for their miracle, their beautiful baby boy made his way into the world the week before his due date.

Devastatingly, baby Vallance suffered a catastrophic brain injury upon delivery and he was flown to Sick Kids in Toronto. After numerous tests and care, they were told that the worst possible case scenario was now their reality.

Profoundly heartbroken, they remain in Toronto making their son comfortable as his final days are near.

The sorrow that surrounds such a devastating situation is unimaginable and our hearts pour out to Brittany, Greg and their families.

There are no words, no gifts, no actions that can mend their shattered hearts, however so many of us want to lend our support in some meaningful way. With this in mind, we thought it may be helpful to make a respite fund available to them for those who wish to contribute.

For years, they have made having a family their top priority emotionally, physically and financially, putting many other aspects of their lives on hold.

Contributing to this fund would of course be at their disposal to help alleviate some of the costs associated with their stay in Toronto, bills, etc. and/or it is my wish to provide them with some means to prioritize their mental health and take time away for themselves as a form of respite from the heartbreak of beginning to navigate life without their precious baby boy.

Our hearts are with them now at this sorrowful time and as they begin the long road ahead to their healing journey.

Out of respect for their delicate situation, we have not included baby Vallance's name or photos until the family may be ready to do so on their own end.
