Respect the Pronoun: Help us help LGBTQplus Youth

Hi, my name is Rowena and I am raising funds to start up a nonprofit that provides self-care and self-love resources to LGBTQ+ youth.

The organization will provide FREE quarterly self-care and self-love kits to any youth who signs up.

We will also be developing a pen pal program to create a space of community and support to help LGBTQ+ youth cope and thrive.

Why is this needed?

LGBTQ+ youth experience increased risks of mental health disorder symptoms, homelessness, and suicide compared to heterosexual and nontransgender youth. They are disproportionately represented among the nearly 4.2 million youth and young adults in America who experienced some form of homelessness during a 12-month period. They also face a higher risk of early death and many other adversities.

The goal of this GoFundMe is to complete the set up of Respect The Pronoun as a non-profit in order to have access to grants and other funding opportunities to better meet the needs of LGBTQ+ young people in our collective in an effort to save lives and provide support to LGBTQ+ homelessness youth.

We hope to partner with businesses across the US to provide pick-up sites for homeless youth to be able to access these quarterly self-love and self-care kits.
