Resilience Screening & Panel Venue

Donation protected
Apparently the trauma informed movement is arriving! We set out to show a film about how trauma, adversity, and toxic stress impact the developing child and what can be done to support prevention and recovery for children and adults. We put together a panel and a plan to moderate a meaningful discussion with the audience. We selected a the library - a small, inexpensive venue. We weren't expecting to fill the library auditorium's 75 seats... We thought, 30 max. But, we were wrong! We filled 30 seats the first day we published the event.  Close to 300 people have expressed interest without any major marketing of the event.

When I see that, I see the potential power we hold as community. I feel strongly that this community of people who care can have a real impact.

We would like to move the event to the Colonial Theater and keep spreading the word.

This event is for all of us because all of us are impacted directly or indirectly by childhood trauma. The event is created with the notion that there is no "us and them" - no people with trauma and people who treat trauma. We are a community of people ready for healing.

This event is part of a capstone project to launch a community of practice for the Monadnock Region to co-create a trauma-informed community. It was born from a personal healing journey and a deep desire to see others find healing. The project is un-funded and we need community support to pay for the venue. We chose the Colonial because they share our desire for  community-building and they are giving us a discounted rate with the belief that we will be able to raise the fee with your support!

We have to move quickly if we want to make it happen - The Colonial is holding the date for us with someone waiting to fill our spot if we can't do it! Let's do it!
