A Neighbor Vegetable Garden in the Front Yard

Donation protected

Hello neighbors, gardeners and all! Happy Earth Day, April 22nd!

As you know my family home has a huge front yard on Snelling Ave in Falcon Heights and so I thought that I would put it in a good use instead just growing turf grass. What else could be better to have some neighbors/gardeners pinch in some work together to grow vegetable for some healthy fresh produce  during our short Minnesota summer and especially during this pandemic time? And the idea of this neighbor vegetable garden came to life last Fall and publicly posted on social media in February.

Any fund is raised will be using for the cost of buying garden soil, mulch, a sod kicker, etc. (All vegetable we grow will be shared and given away)

The sod kicker is also needed for members of the newly created Twin Cities Front Yard Organic Gardeners Club (also name of the Facebook group) to use at free of charge,  as same as for other neighbors. This neighborly tool is already purchased (cost $426) to have it available on time  for some gardeners as the gardening space preparation time has just started. (FYI $915 for 40 cubic yard of garden soil and $200 for 40 cubic yard of wood chips have already delivered beginning of May at my own expenses for the neighbor garden plan)

So please make this little neighborly vegetable garden idea happen.

Greatly appreciated and you’re very welcome to be involved as well.

Sincerely,

Quentin
