Beauchamp, Rescued Stray with Tumor

This is Beauchamp, a sweet dog that was rescued as an injured stray from a Memphis neighborhood near the airport. He has an open wound on the back of his head and neck. With the help of some other ladies and a kind neighbor, we were able to get him off the streets on Sunday, December 1. I then took him straight to the emergency vet to asses his wound. 

Upon being examined by an emergency vet, it was determined that he has a tumor that outgrew it’s blood supply and then burst. Without additional testing, we are unsure if the tumor is malignant or benign. Further vetting, antibiotics, meds, and surgeries are needed before he can be healthy and adopted out to a new home. He also needs to be neutered. 

I am taking him on as a found foster with Streetdog Foundation in Memphis, so additional vetting costs need to be raised to help. He is such a sweet boy. He gets along with other dogs of all sizes, cats, and children. He will make someone a great pet!
