Rescued neglected cat

Donation protected
Hi my name is Luna and this is my story and the reason for this fundraiser. On September 27 I moved in with my new mom who rescued me from a home that was neglecting me. My old owner rescued me from a shelter in March, brought me home and 2 days later because I shed a lot she kicked me outside in the freezing cold for 12 hours with no food or water and I was scared because I was an indoor cat. Strange animals and stray cats came around so I got on the roof of the house to stay safe and was hoping to find a way inside. This happened to me every day and night and the lady next door would talk to me and give me food and water. There were several times when I refused to go outside so the owner would take her foot and kick me till I was outside. In September the neighbor asked my owner if she could adopt me and my owner couldn’t wait to get rid of me, but so happy someone wanted me. On the 27th my owner gave me to my new owner Michelle, even though she can’t afford me she couldn’t stand seeing me being mistreated no more. Michelle is disabled and lives on a small income, she used her food money to fix me, I had fleas bad so she got me on flea meds right away, the flea collar my old owner had on me didn’t work and had wore the hair off my neck and was cutting into my skin and then my new mom found huge mats on my butt hair, under my arms and my chest. Michelle spent 4 days cleaning me up and getting all those fleas off me, I felt so much better. Next she taught me how to be a cat, I didn’t know how to play with toys, I never had one and also learned how fun it is to play in a paper bag. I also had warm beds and a mom I get to sleep on to stay warm. 2 weeks later I ended up dealing with tapeworm which my mom treated me 3 times and still have them so now I have to go see the vet for a check up and get dewormed. My mom is also worried and how I swallow, at times I have trouble. My mom can’t afford a vet bill and also can’t afford food and litter, she does have enough till next month, but that’s it. Michelle has given me a safe and happy place to live which I’m once again an indoor cat, she brushes me everyday so I will never have a mat again, I get love and just enjoy knowing what being a cat is like. Please help us! Hope it’s ok to write this in Luna’s words so you all will know what she went through. Don’t know what kind of life she had before the neighbor adopter her, but from the way Luna didn’t know what a toy was, she didn’t have a good life. Don’t know her age, thinking close to 2 years old. Luna has a vet appointment on November 30 to the cheapest vet in town, no shelters will help with a vet bill because they don’t have money for animals they have. So far with just a check up and dewormer the bill is 170.00 and she will still need vaccines and xrays to find out the swallowing problem which I don’t know a price for that. If anyone wants to help with the vet bill I will be happy to give you the vet to donate that way, you will know where the money is going then. Luna is a very sweet kitty, she is so happy now and loved. Thank you so much for reading this and hope the story wasn’t to long. Michelle Reed and Luna Reed.
