Options were running out for this 2 year old, male wolfdog located in Colorado, when Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary was contacted by a sister organization. Due to the high possibility of the male wolfdog facing confiscation and euthanasia by Animal Control, we gladly accepted the call to save this handsome animal.
Complaints of the wolfdog howling in the neighborhood he's located in, alerted the officials and met with the family. They were told to find him a new home immediately or they would have to take action due to the noise complaints. It is in a wolf or wolfdog's nature to howl, to communicate. We could not merely stand by while his life was in potential danger for doing something that is so natural to him.
Your assistance to this campaign will ensure that we can get him to safe sanctuary immediately! It will cover the fuel for the trip and also replenishes the costs it took to ensure our Rescue Transport Van is safe for the long haul in inclement weather. This vehicle has traveled across the country many times! It goes anywhere it's needed for new rescues and transports our animals to the vet. It has spacious room in the back for the animal(s) and is also equipped with an AC unit. You can rest assure that our new rescue will ride comfortably to his new home!
My husband and I hit the road tomorrow morning to pick up our new, wild-spirited rescue!
