Today Rose has been resting under the care of her vet team. Tomorrow she is going to a consultation with the surgeons to determine the best course of action.
Our amazing vet team has offered to keep her after the surgery until she is walking and her stiches started to heal, all included in the top estimate of $7,000. This just how much her vets have fallen in love with this little fighter.

THURSDAY
She is such a strong little girl. Even with the multiple breaks that she had she was up walking the room that morning impatiently waiting for the doctors. She would not let me hold her, she kept kicking those broken legs to tell me to let her go. Lol just one tough little cookie.
And happy! Happy about everything. I tell her good morning she starts wagging her tail, the doctor comes in the room she starts wagging her tail, they tell her okay it's time to go she starts wagging her tail. Just happy about everything. Also, as soon as she woke up from surgery she starts wagging her tail.

FRIDAY Surgery was very long she went in at 4:00 p.m., so it had been about 4 and 1/2 hours. They continued to tell me it's a very delicate procedure and that they were hoping to be done by 10:00 p.m. That would have her in surgery for 6 hours at 10:00 p.m. SURGERY finished at 10:30 pm.
SATURDAY
Morning she was up walking, ate 100% of her food, drink 100% of her water, was able to keep everything down, and is an overall happy healthy little girl.
SUNDAY
Resting. They worked on the worst side first. She had three severe breaks on that side and it took three plates to put them back where they all belonged. They are going to wait until Monday and then re x-ray the side that has not had surgery to see if it in fact still requires surgery.
They said Rose is doing very well today. She is actually walking on that leg for a good part of today. There is some slight buckling but not too often. They said if she continues to buckle on that leg then they will start rehab therapy with her. Otherwise everything else is looking very good, she is eating, drinking, going potty like she's supposed to.
To explain the buckling, it's not uncommon with such a dramatic surgery that their muscles and everything are not going to want to cooperate. She may just need to go through some physical therapy of helping her move that leg and hip for a while.
MONDAY
I just got off the phone with The vet. Rose's struggling today. She is not wanting to walk on her leg. She's having problems getting it up underneath her. She is crying a lot in pain. They just finished giving her her morning medication so that should help some. They are waiting for the doctor to finish his current surgery and then they will have him come look at her and get the x-rays that they were going to get today so that they can see where things stand.
