IOW Pony Club Rescue our facilities

Donation protected
We are a voluntary organisation that educates children in equestrian sports and citizenship, a long time ago we were very lucky and some amazing people worked hard so that our Pony Club branch had their own field and a pavillion with kitchen and toilets.  These facilities are now not fit for purpose and we desperately need to raise funds to renovate them.  We have had partial success with bids to local organisatioms and we began our renovations but then disaster struck and part way through we had burst pipes that have added thousands on to the cost of repair.   During this process we discovered that essentially the building was rotten.  We wanted to, and in some cases DID cry.

We would like to take this opportunity to also make our facilities more accessible too as we are an inclusive club.  Because we have started we must now finish.......

The Pony Club encourages children to take responsibility for the care of their horse or pony, be good sports, great people and have fun along the way.  Anyone that has been a member takes away from the club life skills and amazing memories.  It's children doing what they should.  Activity, outdoors and hard work!

Our facilities have always been available for other charitable or community groups to use, we have never charged for this as we believe community groups should support and help each other.

We do fundraise ourselves but a large part of this fundraising uses the facilities we have - or, right now don't have!

Please consider helping us to make more amazing memories for children on the Isle of Wight.  The club is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and we have had lovely offers of help for labour (for which we are incredibly grateful) but even the materials right now are beyond our reach.

People have a perception that Pony Clubs are wealthy, but we are not profit making and any money we have goes back into the training and events for the children.  The volunteers that run the club are often overworked and frankly exhausted but when a child achieves their first clear round on a naughty pony or gets their first achievement badge every minute, hour, day or week is so very worth it.  Please help us to carry this on.

Thank you for reading, if you can't donate and we completely understand that not everyone has spare funds then would you share our story?  Sorry Tesco, i know you had this line first but every little helps.
