<div>My name is Aya Halabi, a 17 year old Palestinian girl born and raised in Gaza, currently pursuing my studies at United World College - Red Cross Nordic (UWC-RCN) in Norway.

<div>As you may be aware that Gaza is still under attack since 7th of October 2023, it has been more than 130 days of fear from losing my family in any instance. We are a middle-income family, consisting of my dad (Dr. Wajdi), my mom (A. Heba), and my three younger siblings: Ibrahim (16), Abdelrahman (15), and Osama (9).

<div>They have had to endure displacement twice from the early weeks of the war and we still lack information about the condition of our home amid these enduring miserable conditions.

<div>Currently, they reside in Rafah, but the danger is encroaching closer with each passing day so in the face of these dire circumstances, my family have made the difficult decision to evacuate Gaza in search of safety and security. The situation has become increasingly untenable, with the threat of violence looming over us each day.
