Rescue an old Italian village with Yoga
Hello! I am Clemens, I am working on a project to revive an old and abandoned Italian village with my Yoga school and sustainable agriculture.
Italy is full of the precious cultural heritage that sustained all of us through the centuries. Since the last 50 years however Italy and its precious architecture and landscapes are falling apart. Every year about 120.000 people are lacking in Italy to keep its population and spirit alive, the old olive groves, villages, and the charming spirit are slowly fading away. It is time to support this beautiful place and its people with fresh, uplifting and sustainable ideas.
I founded a yoga school from Austria that is managing a yoga-studio in Vienna, we offer classes, workshops and teacher trainings. Our main aim is to share, and continuously develop the science of yoga. Every summer we made teacher trainings abroad, also in the beautiful landscape of Italy.
This year we discovered an abandoned settlement in the hillsides of largo d'Orta ready to be consumed by the forces of nature. We contacted the local authorities and the European Union to enable a project to give new life to this precious cultural heritage site. We fully develloped a plan, how this beautiful settlement can be relieved with the help of permaculture and yoga ( check out our website for the full project description) The European union declared that it is possible to fund such a project aiming for sustainable farming and yoga in Italy, but 20 percent of the capital must be supplied by us.
Therefore, we are looking for people who simply want to help this project going on and participating in it. Everyone donating to this project is welcome to just spend some time there and immersing ones self in Yoga once the project is successfully accomplished. We would be happy to share our gift with anyone, especially with those who enabled this project to be possible.
