Our team of volunteers worked really hard to bring you yesterday’s event of N.E.W. Pride Alive. After eight months of hard work and dedication, we were devastated to cancel, but knew that it was the right decision to make. There was extensive damage to equipment, our vendors took a hard hit, and many of them lost merchandise. Above all we canceled for the safety of everyone.
WE KNOW the community wants us to reschedule but it is going to take some time and planning, and it also comes at a cost.
We are proud to give you an event that offers free parking, free admission, awesome musicians and entertainment. We are also proud to support local vendors and non-profit organizations.
WE WANT you to understand that this event is paid for by our generous sponsors, and from the bar / beverage sales THE DAY OF the event. Because of the severe weather and us having to shut down the event, those bar/beverage sales didn’t happen. We count on those sales to make this event fun, free, and to provide entertainment for all ages. Our sales at N.E.W Pride Alive have allowed us TO FUND and improve our event year after year.
We learned yesterday that when OUR COMMUNITY comes together, we can overcome these hardships. We want to give a HUGE thank you to Nicholas Raymond, Dani Maus, Kristen Ford, Wy Nonna, and all the queens who showcased their talent, flexibility and helped us make the most of the night. We are #strongerthanthestorm.
We want to bring our event back but will need your support. We also want to thank the community for their love and support in this challenging time.
Please consider donating. Every amount helps.
