<div>Hi! My name’s Alice and during my last trip to Mexico, I came across many stray dogs who touched my heart because of the terrible conditions they live in: most of them covered in scars, without food or water, and with no shelter from the scorching desert sun or the hurricanes.

<div>But two dogs, in particular, are in extremely critical health conditions. When I saw them, my heart stopped. ❤️‍

<div>One is extremely weak, with her body and face covered in open wounds — flies biting into her exposed flesh — and what looks like a serious jaw injury, preventing her from chewing dry food. I met her just days before leaving, and she was about to give birth.
</div>
<div>She gave birth to three puppies about a month ago and developed a fever after giving birth.
</div>
<div>Sadly, her puppies were killed.
</div>
<div>The other is so thin you can see her ribs, covered in ticks all over her tiny body, with deep wounds on both ears and cataracts, especially in one eye. (I couldn’t take pictures, because she’s in a very poor area where locals are still quite hostile to foreigners.)

<div>But there is hope: I found a certified pet sitter, specialized in rescuing stray dogs, who is willing to take care of Alma and Luna. Bicha Pet Sitter, located just over three hours away, is arranging transport to rescue them both.

<div>That’s why I decided to recreate the fundraiser under her name, so that donations will go directly to the person who’s saving these dogs.

<div>Estimated costs are around 22,000 MXN (about 1,150 USD) — total for 2 dogs:

<div>Ha dato alla luce tre cuccioli circa un mese fa e ha avuto la febbre dopo il parto.

<div>Purtroppo, i suoi cuccioli sono stati uccisi.

<div>L’altra è talmente magra da vedersi le costole, ricoperta di zecche su tutto il corpicino esile, con due ferite profonde su entrambe le orecchie e una cataratta — peggiore su un occhio. (Non ho potuto farle foto, perché il luogo in cui si trova è molto povero e le persone locali sono ancora piuttosto ostili agli stranieri.)

<div>C’è però una speranza: ho trovato una pet sitter certificata, specializzata in salvataggi di cani randagi, che è disposta a curare Alma e Luna — Bicha Pet Sitter si trova a poco più di tre ore di guida da questa area e sta organizzando il trasporto per andare a recuperarle entrambe.

<div>Per questo ho deciso di rifare la raccolta fondi direttamente a suo nome, così che i soldi arrivino subito a lei, che si prenderà cura delle cagnette.
