</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No âmbito deste percurso, importa destacar algumas situações relevantes:
</div>
</div>
<div>-2025: Representei Portugal no WSDC na Cidade do Panamá, Panamá
</div>
<div>-2026: Representei Portugal no European Schools Debating Championship, Campeonato Europeu de Debate Escolar, em Skopje, Macedónia do Norte
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Muito obrigada, desde já, pela solidariedade! :)

<div> Hello! My name is Beatriz Amorim; I am 17 years old and was selected to represent Portugal at the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC). Competitive debate is a highly challenging, structured educational activity involving oral communication, where young people discuss a wide range of current affairs while divided into groups defending opposing positions (for or against). This discipline contributes significantly to the development of young people, fostering greater capacity for reflection, critical thinking, public speaking, and the construction of well-founded arguments on various topics.
</div>
<div>I have been part of the Portuguese national team since 2024, representing the country at the World Championship in Serbia (2024) and Panama (2025), as well as at the European Championship in North Macedonia (2026).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Throughout this journey, a few key highlights stand out:
</div>
<div>- 2024: I represented the first national debate team at the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) in Belgrade, Serbia. As a team, we received the "Best New Nation" award (given to the best debutant nation at the World Championship), and I was recognized as the 2nd best speaker among "New Nations."
</div>
<div>-2025: Represented Portugal at the WSDC in Panama City, Panama
</div>
<div>-2026: Represented Portugal at the European Schools Debating Championship in Skopje, North Macedonia.
</div>
<div>-2026: Represented Portugal remotely (online) at the New Nations Pre-World Championship (a debate tournament exclusively for nations with fewer than three WSDC appearances), where we emerged as undefeated champions (winning all eight rounds). I also won the award for the 2nd best speaker of the entire championship, as well as the top EFL (English as a Foreign Language) speaker award, competing against over 60 participants.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This year, the World Championship will be held in Nairobi, Kenya. However, participating in this major competition places a financial burden on my family; I am therefore seeking financial assistance to enable me to represent my country at the highest level of competitive debating. The funds raised will cover the competition registration fee, flights, and accommodation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a huge difference in making this dream a reality. And if you cannot provide financial support, simply sharing this campaign means the world to me!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your support! :)
</div>
