Improve our Scout Hall
November 2020 I joined the committee for 1ST WOLVERTON SCOUT GROUP.
My autistic son was a cub and is now a scout with the group. All the committee members are volunteers and absolutely passionate about the scout group. We aim to create the most amazing experiences for the children (and many more children in years to come) which will carry them through to adult life.
We were raising funds to replace the roof on our 84 year old building, and thankfully managed to raise funds through here, selling donations and through grants to replace the roof and heating.
We also have a list of other improvements including the creation of a disability toilet and entrance.
This scout hall is pivotal to the local community. As well as being used for 1st Wolverton has been running for over 100 years and it’s where we hold our Beaver, Cubs and Scout meetings. We also rent it out for other local groups/charities to meet. It would therefore be a shame if the hall were to close due to the roof not being safe.
Absolutely every donation (large or small) will help us reach our goal. In addition to this, I am collecting donations in the local Milton Keynes area to sell online or at jumble sales.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause (which will go directly to the scout group) that means so much to me, the children, the local community.
