Help Replace our Leaking Roof

Dear brothers and sisters,

 

In anticipation of our parish’s 50th anniversary next year and in the hopes of celebrating that day in a fully frescoed church, the church board has initiated a number of projects which will secure the church in preparation for the frescoes.

 

The first phase is the installation of a new roof on the church. There have been problems with the roof for many years now and we have done patch work several times already. The time has come, however, to completely replace the roof. Additionally, we will work on the church windows, church doors and other smaller jobs.

 

This is a great undertaking but we place our trust in God and in one another that we have the strength and faith to once more become founders and benefactors, that our names be inscribed in God’s eternal book of life together with our ancestors.

 

With this GoFundMe campaign we appeal to all parishioners, members and friends of St. Petka to help us reach our goal. 

 

У сусрет прослави 50. годишњице нашег храма Свете Петке следеће године, и у жељи да то славље дочекамо у фрескописаној цркви, Црквени одбор је покренуо акцију обезбеђивања храма за енентуалне радове за живопис.

 

Прва фаза је постављање новог крова на цркви. Дуги низ година је проблем са кровом и више пута смо га крпили. Дошло је време да се кров потпуно замени. Поред тога радићемо и на прозоре, црквена врата и још неке мање послове.

 

Велики је ово подухват али уздајмо се у Бога и једни у друге да нам да снаге и вере да још једном постанемо ктитори и приложници и тако да се упишемо у вечне књиге Господње са нашим прецима.
