Original post: Hi everyone, this fundraiser is for my parents. On May 22nd, they had their minivan stolen from their driveway at gun point. Fortunately they were not hurt. They are both retired and living on a fixed income which my mom supplements by working part time at Walmart as much as she can. Their van was paid off and in good condition. We found out though that they are not going to get their van back as it is evidence in the case. Insurance is treating it as a totaled vehicle, but will only pay the current value according to KBB or a similar source. Of course this will not be enough to get them a replacement vehicle. We hope to raise enough for them to be able to combine it with the insurance money to get a new or newer van without having to take out a loan. Thank you!
