Repairs to our RBL Club

We are raising money to get repairs done on the club as we have a leak in the roof and we also need to sound proof the roof, as noise is escaping from it and irritating the neighbours, not that it is loud noise, but they can still hear it.
We are a “non profit making” club, run by a committee of volunteers.
We are affiliated to the Royal British Legion, but we are wholly responsible for everything to do with the club.
We are the hub of the community for several reasons, SSAFA use the club to hold a weekly dinner club for Veterans’ of the Armed Forces, some of whom are in their nineties, so at least once a week they have a hot meal.
We also host the meetings of the local residents’ association, we help other local charitable organisations to fundraise, by allowing them to use our front function room for quizzes etc - in fact we do all we can to help the local community,
We have young families as members’ too, because it’s a safe environment for them to come to with their kids.
We never have much money and it barely covers our bills, but we manage to just about scrape through.
In 2016 we were burgled and that was a major set-back, in fact we have never really recovered from it.
Now we are faced with finding money to do the repairs, money we just haven’t got, we don’t want the club to have to close, because so many veterans’ benefit from it and so does the local community.
So that’s why we are appealing on this “go fund me” - all of us owe these Veterans a great deal and for them not to have somewhere to go, would be an enormous loss to them.
