Car repair for Dorian Birkholz

Dorian is a friend and colleague who needs some support right now. She is a single mom working for the past year as a Community Health Worker, one of the few in the country with a focus on oral health. She is also trying to get a college degree. She truly has been making a difference for many in her community.

She recently was hired to be a Community Health Specialist for a local Community Health Center. This job is a major step up both in terms of her career and her finances. It will solidify her in a career where she will truly be able make significant contributions to our region. She needs reliable transportation in order to keep this job. Our area is rural and her job will require her to be very mobile.

I am asking my friends, her friends and others to contribute so that her car can be repaired. In short, the timing belt broke and she will need at least an expensive repair if not a new engine.

If we all give a little, no one will have to give a lot and our community will benefit greatly from her talent and creativity. It would be heartbreaking if a car repair kept this from happening.
