 Fundraising Goal: $3,800

 Dear friends, brothers and sisters in Christ,
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Our small parish of Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey, is facing an unexpected and <strong>urgent repair expense, and we are asking for your help.</strong>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Following recent heavy rains, <strong>a serious roof leak caused significant damage to the interior of our historic church.</strong> A large section of plaster collapsed from the ceiling directly above the iconostasis, and water entered the church, reaching the carpet and even the vigil lamps.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thankfully, no one was injured, and the holy icons in the iconostasis were not damaged.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 However, the situation requires immediate attention to prevent further deterioration of the building.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The necessary repairs include:
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 * Repairing and waterproofing the roof drainage system.
</div>
<div>
 * Replacing damaged roofing materials and shingles.
</div>
<div>
 * Inspecting and replacing deteriorated wooden structures and insulation where necessary.
</div>
<div>
 * Restoring the damaged interior ceiling and plasterwork.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 The estimated cost of these repairs is $3,800.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 For a small parish like ours, which relies primarily on the generosity of its parishioners and friends, an unexpected expense of this size represents a significant financial challenge, especially as we approach the winter months, when heating and maintenance costs increase considerably.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Our church is more than just a building. It is a place of prayer, worship, fellowship, and spiritual support, serving the Orthodox faithful and the wider community of Elizabeth and the surrounding areas. It is also part of the rich heritage of Russian Orthodoxy in America, which generations of faithful have worked to preserve.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We believe that the strength of the Orthodox community lies not only in our individual parishes but also in our willingness to support one another, especially when smaller communities face difficulties beyond their financial means.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We humbly ask you to consider making a donation toward these necessary repairs. Any contribution, regardless of its size, will make a difference.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and fellow parishioners would also be a tremendous help.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 All funds raised will go directly toward the repair and restoration of our church.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. May the Lord bless you and your loved ones!
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 With gratitude in Christ,
</div>
<div>
