<div>America devours nearly 2 billion pounds of shrimp every year—the most popular seafood in the nation—but more than 94% comes from halfway around the world, always frozen, likely treated with chemicals, and months old by the time it hits your plate. That's not just trivial; it's a vulnerability in our food supply, reliant on imports from Asia and Latin America that can face shortages, tariffs, or quality issues. Americans are right to demand more wholesome, nutritious and sustainable food.

<div>Enter <a href="https://www.sunshrimp.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sun Shrimp</a>: Founded in 2013 in Florida, we're America's pioneer in sustainable, land-based shrimp farming—delivering fresh, chemical-free, preservative-free shrimp harvested daily and shipped nationwide. Drawing pristine saltwater from a 1,800-foot-deep aquifer, our zero-discharge facility produces some of the tastiest, most nutritious shrimp you'll find, all while protecting wild oceans and ecosystems. In a tough industry where few U.S. farms survive, we've thrived for over a decade, supplying restaurants, grocers, and families with truly American shrimp.

<div>Sun Shrimp before the storms....
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But nature tested us like never before. In 2022, Hurricane Ian's eyewall slammed our farm, obliterating our greenhouses and forcing us to self-fund a $3 million rebuild—without insurance or government aid, as options for aquaculture like ours are nonexistent. Then, in 2024, Hurricanes Helene and Milton delivered crushing indirect blows: tornadoes, flooding, and winds that shredded our hard-won repairs, demanding another $3 million we simply don't have.

<div><a href="https://youtu.be/ahLSW5ctdHo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hurricane Ian</a>
</div>
<div>Compounded by COVID shutdowns and rock-bottom global prices, we've been slashed from 100 employees shipping daily to just 15, hanging on by a thread. Despite the chaos, our innovative climate-resilient production tanks withstood a Category 5 storm unscathed—proof we're ready to pioneer the future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, with America prioritizing onshoring critical foods, shrimp is prime for a homegrown revival. We have the expertise, the disease-free stock, and the passion to scale up and secure a reliable U.S. supply of premium protein. But we can't do it alone. We're skipping fragile greenhouses for good and building out these storm-proof systems to produce 10x more shrimp sustainably.

</div>
<div>Your support can make it happen. Every dollar raised goes straight to rebuilding—new resilient tanks, equipment, and jobs to get us shipping fresh again. In gratitude, donors get a unique 10% credit code for future Sun Shrimp purchases, redeemable over 6 months (e.g., donate $100, save $100 on orders!). No waiting for elusive grants or investors—we need you, the shrimp lovers who value fresh, American-made quality.

<div>Before the storms, we fed thousands weekly. Without us, one of the few viable U.S. shrimp farms fades, dimming the bright future of domestic aquaculture. Join the fight: Donate today and help rebuild a stronger, tastier America.
