Rental Assistance Ask-Many Hands, Light Work

My friend needs assistance. She lost her daughter to cancer 2 years ago, and is currently raising the grandson that was left behind. Shortly after his mama's death this little guy nearly died and was diagnosed with an illness that requires specialists and monthly treatments . My friend was laid off in April and lost insurance, so she has been prioritizing Cobra costs to keep her grandson in care of his physicians. She was brought back to work part time, in October, but is overwhelmed with the significant debt that is accruing, due to PNW high rent pile up and utility bills left unable to be paid.  I met her when she reached out to Kinship Connection for food. KC has been able to help some, but she needs more than we can provide.  She is in the niche of people that has not had services prior, and thus is struggling to find assistance in spite of endless searching and applications. She is exhausted and overwhelmed. Can you to pitch in to give this woman a sense of hope? Two days ago her other daughter totaled their car, which made me realize she needs to know she is supported!  Few of us can appreciate all that she has been through.
