Renovations for Fruit of the Spirit

Our Pastor, our friend, Jewel Hardmon is in need of help. For the past year she has endured many hardships, due to illness stemming from her diabetes. She was in the hospital for over 10 months, her leg had to be amputated and she has since been on a long road to recovery.
Pastor Jewel has not been able to return home or to her church for over a year now. There are some renovations that are required and we are trying to make the necessary changes to accommodate her both at home and church so that she can return. Everything must be wheelchair accessible.
Pastor Jewel Hardmon has been the pastor of the Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church in Attleboro, MA for over 18 years, also pastor at Bethany Church in Attleboro, MA, for the past 15 years. She is an active member of Tres Dias, an International non denominational Christian organization where she serves as a spiritual director, also a member of the MLK Committee of Attleboro, Mass. The church sponsors an annual feeding of the homeless in Boston and surrounding areas, provides and distributes food baskets to those in need on Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Her work at Bethany Church has made it possible for people of all abilities and religions to celebrate their faith together. Making the Fruit of the Spirit Mission church wheelchair accessible has always been a dream of Pastor Jewel's. This would allow for not only current members but also people with physical challenges to worship together. Working with people with intellectual and physical disabilities has played a significant role in Jewel's life. She has worked at Wrentham Developmental Center, HMEA and as a shared living provider. She has played a major role in improving the lives of countless people and made it her mission in life to make a difference.
The funds raised will be used to make renovations to both Jewel's home and the Fruit of the Spirit Mission Church, including ramps, bathroom renovations and a stair lift.
