Renovation fund for the Bakers to Alaska.

As the Bakers make their way to their mission field, there are some needs that need to be met. Per Jason and Sarah:
“We do have some needs: The house that we will be living in is a very small 3 bedroom, 1 bath. The size isn’t an issue to us, but only having one bathroom is not easy when you are a family of 13. That one bathroom also serves as the bathroom for the church itself. If we have the finances, we will be able to ship up building materials to add another bathroom and a much needed arctic entry to the front of our house and our church building. There is a barge that goes up the coast and will deliver materials to us, but it only runs once a year and space on it has to be booked by the middle of May.
We also need extra heavy winter wear. Even though we have lived in Alaska for a year now, we have lived in a much milder part of the state. Jason especially needs a good arctic coat and boots, as he’ll be the one having to get out in the weather. When he was there for his survey trip, it became very obvious that the winter clothing he has is inadequate. Frostbite is a very real danger here!
There is a very good job opportunity working as the school maintenance man, and it will be open in a few weeks. Please pray with us that God will direct the hearts of those hiring towards Jason. Having a job in the village will give us an “in” with the people, but is also much needed because we only have 25% of our necessary support coming in at the moment.
