WHAT: We are raising funds to support the 75+ small businesses located in the Reno Riverwalk District affected by the COVID-19 Shutdown, special event cancellations, recent damage as caused by the riot and the resent curfew restrictions. These lives of the business owners and the employees are dependent on this community to care for themselves and others. We are asking for your help to raise funds to ease the burdens for these small businesses during this time of crisis.

Take a stroll along the Riverwalk and savor Reno’s exciting urban renaissance. You’ll find shopping, restaurants, bars and taverns, entertainment, lodging, even a whitewater park – all in a safe, fun, friendly area that celebrates Reno’s arts, culture, and history 365 days a year.
Welcome to the official website of the Riverwalk Merchants Association (RWMA). This organization is dedicated to the future growth and success of small businesses within the Downtown Reno area. It is more important today than ever before for small businesses to be supportive of each other, and determined to be progressive and productive for the benefit of all downtown area businesses. Networking amongst our other business owners is one of the most beneficial ways to market our small businesses and support our community. Networking with like-minded business owners builds relationships, and a successful business is built on relationships.
Our organization is comprised of 60+ local businesses committed to keeping downtown Reno a great place to do business, enjoy life, raise a family, entertain, and appreciate the arts and culture of Nevada. Our organization sponsors a variety of monthly events and provides donations to various local charities and other non-profit organizations focused on art, theater, health, animals, and families. We continually work with the City of Reno to improve downtown parking, landscaping, crime reduction, special events, and other related projects.
We are affiliated with the Regional Alliance for Downtown, West Street Market, The Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations which work to make a small business profitable and pleasurable. We encourage all members of our organization and our community to buy from our other member businesses as well as refer additional customers to our neighboring businesses. We appreciate having every small business in the area participate with us through special event committees, monthly programs, and marketing. Our goal is to make our businesses, our organization, and our town succeeds and continues to be an energetic and lively place to live.

The Mission of the Riverwalk Merchants Association is to increase year-round traffic and business for Riverwalk Merchants while creating and nurturing a vibrant and safe downtown district. To celebrate and support Reno’s diversity in the arts, its cultural and historic heritage and contribute to the growth, education, and diversity of vital downtown shopping and entertainment for locals and visitors.
