Renaissance Jax is hosting the largest robotics competition in Florida this year on February 3, 2018 for 118 robotics teams in 3 divisions at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.
Donations will go to ensure that we have a world-class experience for over 1,000 K-12 FIRST Robotics participants on February 3rd, 2018. We are covering the costs for trophies, medals, volunteer food, lights and sound, pipe and drape - it's a real production that creates a life changing experience for robotics students who have been working since August on machines that are highly competitive. These students are your future leaders, entrepreneurs, and problem solvers that have the capability to change our whole region.
This is a FIRST Robotics event which means it is FREE and open to the public and we are expecting 3,000 people in attendance!!!
We need your help to help host the largest robotics event to have happened in our state and to set the tone for the growth of North Florida and Jacksonville as the Robotics and STEM workforce capital of the country.
Last year we sent 7 teams to international invitational robotics events with sponsor money. This year we will be sending close to 20 teams to next-level events.
Over the last 5 years Renaissance Jax has helped to grow our region from 11 to over 350 individual robotics teams over more than 20 counties. We currently serve over 3,000 FIRST Robotics students over 20 counties and have been the fastest growing region for robotics teams in the country. Thanks to a super dedicated group of volunteers and all of the teams, our nonprofit can account for nearly 350,000 hours of interdisciplinary, hands-on, robotics, computer science, teamwork, leadership, and all-around STEM activities supporting the development of thousands of bright young problem solvers.
