Rene's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
In September Rene' went in for a routine laparoscopic gallbladder removal. A week later she was not getting better, she was re-admitted and it was found that there had been a major complication that had gone unnoticed at the time of the surgery. Her bile duct was injured. She had multiple drains placed into her abdomen and liver to drain the bile and now must wait for the inflammation to go down so that another liver surgeon can open her up and try to repair the damage to her adbomen and bile ducts coming from her liver. The reconstructive surgery is planned for November at which time she is looking at another 1-2 weeks in the hospital while they monitor her to make sure the repair was successful and for her to recuperate from the open abdominal surgery.
A complication like this comes along with a great deal of stress. We (their family) are raising money to help take away some of the burden and stress of medical bills, supplies and day to day living.
We are asking for your help to lift the financial burden, so the primary focus can be on Rene' and getting her through the long road to recovery ahead. No donation is too big or too small, they will forever be grateful for our help and treat it as a true blessing.
