Friends and Family of Rene Dubay,
As you know, Rene is a gifted photographer: she communicates in captured visual moments the way others speak through their words - written and oral. Rene has been practicing and honing her photographic craft for a long time; recently she has begun taking classes at Photographic Center Northwest here in Seattle. Her dream is to complete a degree program at this instituion and to continue her passion for documenting places and people in action in our world.
Rene is also turning 50 this January 18th! We are inviting you - her community of supporters - to show your love for Rene by contributing to this fund to help her pursue these endeavors. Your gifts will be used to either pay for class tuition or to purchase a new camera that Rene has been in need of for some time and for which she has been patiently but slowly saving.
Rene is not one to make a big fuss about her needs and desires; she is certainly not one comfortable asking for financial support. So we are asking for her. Rene is an incredibly special woman, one who feels deeply about people and places and is called to document them in pictures. It would mean so much to her - and to us - to be able to further her development as a photographer.
