Rene Josafat is the brother of 9 siblings, father of 3 children, and grandfather to 3 kids. He lives in Olongapo City, Philippines. He is currently 57 years old.
Life in the Philippines is way different than life in America, in the Philippines, they are allowed to threaten those that are hospitalized for money. This is the case for our brother, they have threatened to stop treating our brother.
Our brother, Rene Josafat, is currently hospitalized in the Philippines, he was admitted into the hospital on New Year's Eve (December 31, 2020). At first, Rene went to the hospital to inquire about the many pains that he was experiencing. These pains include his back hurting and a feeling of pain in his stomach that felt like stabs. Once they took a test, we found out that his diabetes has worsened in which he was already taking insulin which is pricey especially in the Philippines, another test resulted in finding out that he has a cyst on his kidneys. The doctor told us that this cyst could be cancerous.
From the previous tests alone, he has accumulated a huge bill that we have not been able to pay off yet from the ten days he has been in the hospital. Not only that, but there will be more tests that he needs to undergo. Plus all the medications that he needs to keep on taking.
So we are asking for help financially to cover the costs of Rene's past procedures, current medications, and tests. The funds will greatly help our family so that we do not have to worry too much about money and can focus on being there and supporting our brother during his difficult time.
