Help Renee & Lipson after Maria
Donation protected
Hurricane Maria caused massive destruction and dislocation to those living in St. Croix, USVI.
Unfortunately, those who most need the help, are often the ones that never ask for it. So I am asking for help for a few of my friends and neighbors on St. Croix.
Will you consider helping the families of Renee Thomes and Lipson Romain?
Imagine living without electricity, running water, internet and telephone communications, in a world with limited to no availability of credit cards, atms, cash, banking or mail. Where curfews exist for most of the day, and gas and groceries are scarce commodities. Getting drinking water or food rations often requires standing in line for hours. Then add to that scenario the added complexity of having your home damaged or destroyed by Maria.
That’s what life is like on St. Croix since Maria hit.
If you are capable of a random act of kindness and can pay it forward, you can make a huge difference to someone that could use a hand right now.
Renee, her husband Ted and their dog Houdini lost everything but the clothes on their back when Maria destroyed their mobile home and livelihood. They are survivors and adaptors trying to rebuild their life on island.
Lipson’s very large extended family was hit by Maria on both St Croix and his birth island, Dominica. He is already beginning the process of recovering after Maria and will likely unselfishly use any help that comes his way, to help his family, neighbors and extended community.
Thanks for making a difference to a few families that could use it right now. I will make sure that every donation received for Renee and Lipson gets to them as soon as possible.
If you could post this link https://www.gofundme.com/reneelipsonstx to your Facebook account we can widen the call for help over the web.
Thanks for your consideration, compassion, and generousity.
