Renée's Hurricane Recovery

Like so many others in Orange, TX, our mom Renée and her partner Phil have been struggling to recover from the effects of Hurricane Harvey. Having only taken about 5 inches of water, they considered themselves among the lucky ones. However as they continue to try to repair the damage they are finding themselves overcome with a mounting debt growing faster than the mold in their home.
Their home, our childhood home, has never flooded and was not in a flood zone so there was no flood insurance. It's uncertain how much FEMA will provide at this point and the company that Phil works for will not pay him for days missed due to the hurricane. Unfortunately for those living paycheck to paycheck, a disaster like this can swallow them in debt that will effect them for years. My sister Trish and I are trying to help in any way we can and have set up this fund in hopes that our mom and Phil can get a small amount of relief from the overwhelming cost (plus interest) of saving their home. All donations will go directly to cover the cost of the supplies and repair of the damage.
