Renee Carroll Memorial Fund

 

Hello friends and family of Renee Carroll,

As many of you know we lost our dearest friend Renee on December 18th.

She was such a caring and good-hearted person who always put other’s needs before her own.

Renee had been taking care of her brother who was in a terrible motorcycle accident  and was left with a disabilitating brain injury. On top of that, her father is battling cancer. The stress of all of this,and life in general had really taken its toll on her mental state, and ultimately drove her to pick up the bottle after many successful years of sobriety. Renee was very proud and was never one to reach out for help, although many of us tried. Unfortunately, this was all too much to bear and she passed away during an attempt to dull the pain.

This disease was very hard on her family, especially towards the end. They tried numerous times to get her the help she needed. We do not want to disrespect her family in any way, but as her closest friends, we would like to have the opportunity to say good-bye. As far as we know, nothing publically is planned.

So our plan is to throw a celebration honoring Renee’s life. January 20th at the Bungalow in Corona Del Mar, from 12:30 to 3:30 lunch will be served. Everyone is welcome please pass this on.

 We are only asking for donations to help cover the costs associated. Anything extra will go to her family to help with anything they need to get through this very difficult time.
