I am Janet, Rene’s fiancé, and I am fundraising for our family to offset our expenses during Rene’s cancer treatment.

In 2021, Rene began showing concerning symptoms and went in to see his doctor. Unfortunately, there was a misdiagnosis and it was not until March 2022 that they were able to find a tumor in his bladder. We were then referred to a urologist who was able to remove the tumor in mid August. The biopsy results came back positive for advanced bladder cancer. We were told we had to look for our own oncologist to seek treatment, so we did. We were blessed to find an oncologist who showed the same urgency as we had to review and reassess his medical diagnosis.

During September, Rene had to have multiple scans and biopsies as they found other lymph nodes in his body. Rene had to begin chemotherapy in mid October and since the cancer diagnosis, Rene has not been able to work. With regular household expenses, child expenses, and now medical expenses, any donations are greatly appreciated.
