Remy’s FIP Treatment Fund

Hi, I’m Camille and my 15 month old cat Remy was recently diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). It is a viral disease caused by a coronavirus mutation. While coronavirus’ are common in cats this fatal mutation happens in less than 1% of those cases. There are a few different types of FIP, the type Remy has is dry FIP and he needs treatment before this diseases progresses. Up until very recently there was no treatment for FIP and it had a 100% mortality rate. There still is not one approved by the FDA. The treatments that are available have been studied by veterinarians across the country and are still in testing. This treatment has shown a great deal of success in curing cats with FIP. Remy will need one shot every day for the next 84 days before he goes into a period of observation and is hopefully cured!! FIP has taken the lives of so many kitties and Remy will not be another one!!! I’ve fostered him since he was 4 weeks old weighing .6lbs. He has grown to become apart of me and I knew my home was where he belonged. I officially adopted him August 2020, and just a year later we received this heart wrenching news. Please donate if you can, if you can’t thats okay too. Reach out to your local shelter or share post informing others about the search for an FIP cure.
