Remote-Band is the result of three beautiful things - music, optimism and fundraising.
It was a huge shock to everyone when our dear friend Nathan was diagnosed with stage III esophageal cancer, which is far more common in people over 80 years old. Medical treatments and procedures to date have not helped kill the cancer stem cells within his body. England's health services, the NHS have said there is nothing more they can do.
Nathan is desperate for funding for experimental treatment in Germany for this stage four esophageal cancer - it offers him a lifeline.
This fund will help Nathan pay for the treatment to give him another chance as
traditional fundraising events have been cancelled due to COVID-19.
Therefore, we've had to think out of the box. What way can we spread joy and awareness, and raise some money for our friend? Music, of course.
Remote-band is aiming to be the world's first band which is truly remote - where none of the band members have ever met or even know one another.
