Remembering Shirley Education Fund

Shirley Kuo Bingley 顧澆楠 (1977-2018)

On Saturday July 28, 2018 at approximately 6pm Shirley Kuo passed away.  Her passing was a shock to us all. She thought that she had Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) for many years only to be stunned with the knowledge that she had cancer. No one expected that she would transition within two months from her initial diagnosis. Everyone in the family was in shock and grieving, particularly her 7-year old son Jonathan, 4-year old Keinwyn and husband David.

Shirley had devoted her life to educate and promote mindfulness in the community. Her integrity and capacity to love and help others was and is an inspiration to all. Shirley had touched the lives of so many people and those who met her have been graced by her compassion and love.  Her determination to reach out and help others in need with terminal illness, mental illness, and emotional trauma often superseded her own needs.

Shirley died far too young. Shirley was a loving mother who, above all, was focused on the education and enrichment of her children.

In an effort to assist the family financially and address the numerous inquiries from friends who wish to help in this time of need, we are establishing this campaign. We hope that you can help grant Shirley’s wish to secure her children’s future by making a contribution to Jonathan and Keiwyn’s educational fund.

Your contribution towards this campaign and any further assistance is highly appreciated. If you want to further support, please kindly share this campaign with your friends on social media platforms.

All proceeds minus fees issued by GoFundMe will assist Jonathan and Keinwyn in their educational and personal needs. There is a card payment processing fee of 2.9% plus .30 per donation.
