Remembering Karen Cameron - Funeral expenses

Many of you have already heard this story... I originally wasn't going to set anything up. However, it's come to light that there is no money set aside at all, for funeral expenses. I am the her only child. I am currently unemployed due to the pandemic, since March. If anyone can help, or family would be forever grateful. Thank you.

Tuesday, I lost my mom. She was in a nursing home for the last few years. On September 2nd, I was there visiting her. She had just recently had a stroke. We were not able to visit her since March, because of covid. She wasn't communicating the greatest, but she was able to tell me that the people in the facility were "being mean to her". She was crying really hard. I asked her if she was being physically hurt, and she said that she was. To be fair, I'm not completely sure if the complaint was because she was just in pain when they were trying to move her, or if she was truly being abused. According to the director of the facility, it has to be immediately reported to DCF, and the police. Come to find out, the police never showed up. DCF never showed up. I was simply told that the investigation didn't warrant anyone coming out there. My question is, how is it that a facility that reports the abuse, gets to answer questions in any way that they want, to fit their narrative and ensure that no one looks any further. Where is the Justice in our screwed up system for anyone? BTW... your only option, once they're in hospice care, is to order a private autopsy, which costs anywhere between $3,300 and $5,000. The family will never know whether or not the allegations were true. And God forbid, I hope no one else is experiencing that over there.
