Remembering Julie Suicide Awareness

Donation protected
Remembering Julie - Suicide Awareness and Prevention is a non profit charity working towards their official 501c3 status created in honor and remembrance of my sister, Julie Anna Hettinger who died by suicide December 5, 2016 after a seven year battle with depression. Its goal is to create a place where the stigma of talking about suicide is broken and anyone from those struggling with suicidal thoughts to those who have lost a loved one can find common ground, peace and a place of encouragement. My beautiful sister was an artist and Remembering Julie uses her artwork reprinted on household objects like mugs, tote bags and jewelry to help fund the charity which is run by completely unpaid volunteers. There is someone to answer messages from people reaching out. There are constant positive posts and custom videos to help people survive. There is educational information on suicide mailed out to those who need it. There are huge goals of getting out into the community with a booth to spread awareness and get people talking instead of ignoring the problem. If someone had cancer, they would have support. Many with suicidal thoughts are embarrassed and treated badly. My sister hid so much from everyone because of culture's stereotype of those struggling. Remembering Julie is here to put a stop to that. If you need encouragement, support or love and to know someone is caring, please feel free to follow the facebook page or send us an email. Blessings to you.
