Remembering John Lambert

Donation protected
John Lambert was an active member of the Ontario Deaf community; it was at Deaf camp, at the tender age of 17 where John met his beloved wife Louise.  A loving partnership of 27 years, 23 of them happily married,  began that day and eventually 3 living children, Kyle, Scott and Emily, to cherish and raise.

Louise refers to John as her “other half” and rightly so; John was her number one cheerleader, always encouraging others, sharing his kind heart and lifting others up.  John left you better then he found you.  John was a famed “Macgyver” always ready to assist with a creative solution for whatever the technical problem at hand was.  A well known handy person, master of many trades, always willing to help people out and a popular face around the Deaf-blind community when working on various carpentry projects.  No project was too small, John was always willing to help, regardless of how much work was on his own plate.

A loving father, spent quality time with his children and mentored his nephews teaching them treasured carpentry skills they will use for the rest of their lives.  A true partner to Louise, who currently works part time in the Deaf community.

This family has already been through the heartbreak of losing their beloved baby Jenna, now the sudden death of John, once again, plunged them all deep in the abyss of grief.

John was working on a home renovation; it was not completed.  Louise will now need to find someone to finish their home, while adjusting to being a single parent and not having her partner there for back up after exhausting overnight shifts.

The funds raised will be given to the Lambert family to help them in whatever way we can: construction costs, therapy costs, funeral costs, the sudden change of income as a single parent of 3 while working part time, real estate fees - unfortunately the list is long.

John was always helping others; now it is our time to surround and lift John’s family with love and support and help them during these awful, early days of grief.
