<div>We are all shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of Geoff Knoop. The immediate cause of death was a brain aneurysm. What deepens the sorrow is knowing how profoundly this will be felt by the people closest to Geoff, especially his son Trevor. As Trevor and his mother Laura struggle to find a way to honor Geoff, and navigate the weight of their grief, it would be a great help if all of us who loved him could offer some assistance.

<div>Geoff wanted a green funeral. Anything we can do to lighten the expense would be meaningful. Please donate what you can. With your donation, please post a memory of Geoff to your favorite platform. We all live in the hearts and minds of those who care about us. It would mean a lot to the family to feel all that love.

<div><strong>Reflections on Geoff from Trevor:</strong>
</div>
<div>I love you so unbelievably much. Words can’t articulate the pain of losing you so suddenly and unexpectedly, but I know you are here with me in a different form now. You passed down your love of nature and the outdoors, your own spirituality, and your profound sense of place and beauty. You raised me in a fantastic world of music that scored my life and lent a cinematic, emotional lens through which to feel and experience. Our connection through music was so profound. You live on forever through your music and art and also through mine. I will carry you with me inside and out, always. My whole foundation has been built on your and mom’s shoulders and the deep steeping in art you both gave me. All of that started so beautifully with the creative connection and spark you both shared and bonded over, and I feel so blessed to have been the product of that unbreakable bond. Thank you for making me who I am. I love you so much, dadda. – Trevor Knoop

<div><strong>Reflections on Geoff from Laura:</strong>
</div>
<div>I didn’t understand what people meant when they talked about a couple feeling as one until Geoff and I fell in love in our early twenties. That bond still exists today, thanks to our beautiful son Trevor. Geoff’s loss was sudden and unexpected, and our hearts are broken. The sense of isolation in such a terrible loss is part of the grief, so your support is more meaningful than you can imagine. I just saw Geoff at my birthday party on November 2 in Los Angeles – here is the video. His last words make me smile and weep. – Laura Albert
