Remembering Franny & Helping the Wisnewski Family

Last night two of our best friends experienced the unimaginable...the loss of a child. While this is never easy for any parent, regardless of their child's age, it is excruciating to have her taken from them just before the holidays and her birthday. Sweet Franny Jo would have been two on New Year's Eve. Even as I sit here writing this, I am in utter disbelief. Franny was the light of her family's life. Her bright eyes, sweet smile and infectious laughter will be forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to meet her in her too short time with us.

She made EJ a big brother, a job he took seriously. He always had to ensure his baby sister was okay, and she thought he was the funniest person ever. They shared a special bond that will live on in EJ. She was daddy's little girl; from the very first moment he laid eyes on her, Eric turned into a 6'5" pile of mush. She was mommy's little Irish princess (the girl we girls all secretly wish to have someday), and she made their family complete.

The next several weeks/months are going to be especially hard on the family, both emotionally and financially. Eric and Eileen are teachers. Unfortunately, due to circumstances earlier this year relating to Eileen needing major surgery, they are left with almost no PTO to get through this. For that reason, almost all of the time off they will need to take will be unpaid leave. I am starting this GoFundMe to help raise money to help them with funeral/memorial/medical expenses, but also to help them not to have to worry about making ends meet for the next month or two and to make sure they are able to give EJ a nice Christmas. I know times are tough for all, but anything you can contribute would be a huge help to this family that we love so dearly.
